oil change monitor

Is there any way to reset the oil life monitor on our cars? My dealership in town recently got shut down and I dont want to take it to the other dealer. Im suspecting it might have to be hooked up to a scanner but thought I would check

You don't need to push the gas pedal.

scroll to your oil life....press and hold the reset button and the info scroll button (whatever its called) hold it for a few seconds....menu will come up...scroll to oil life...press reset and it will go back to 100%. While your in the menu set up u can mess around with other stuff...ie, change it to mpg or L/100km or w/e u want...i spent a about 30mins just messing around with stuff

Just did the "turn on key, go to oil life and hold the button and hit the pedal 3 times and it worked" Thanks!!! I thought someone was kidding. Thats a weird way for a big company like gm to do something. Oh well, it worked.
