for a oil change? no. But if you ever have engine problems etc. then they will start to criticize the parts. Just a word of warning and why most people swap to stock when they get warranty work done, unless they know people in the dealership.

I don't think I would want anybody dicking around my beautiful charge pipes but ME. If it takes a little finesse to get to the filter anybody else might use a jack hammer to get to it. That includes a dealer. Change your own. It's NOT that difficult. There's plenty of room under the charge pipe to get a filter in and out. Just make sure you have rags directly under the path the used filter takes on it's way out. The new one goes in with no problem. You just have to slip it in and out horizontally. There is a socket specifically made for the filter available at any parts house but it's not really necessary. I don't remember the size but you could use a socket or a wrench to do the job. Have some fun with your car. Work on it yourself. Sometimes I think I like working on it more than driving it.

Oil filter cap is a 1 1/4" socket. Changed mine just the other day. It helps to have an extension too, so you can get down in there with it.

You'll need a 1/2" drive rachet. I didn't have a 1/2" drive rachet and didn't need a whole new set, so I just got an adapter this time since it's not like the torque would break my smaller drive rachet.

Ah huh! Never thought about it. The special socket I mentioned is 3/8 drive so you don't need bull dozer tools (1/2" drive). And it's kinda short too for easy accessability. THAT'S why you should spend a couple of $. To make the job easier.

after seeing these pictures, I need to readjust my CP. It's rubbing on the "arch" metal piece that is right below the oil cap. I'll remove the clamp to the intercooler and move it over more.
