I would love to know that too. It looks factory like you said. Very nice.

Wow tons of questions, some I think I answered but I will try to be more explicit.

1. Screen was cnc machined by a local shop, painted by an autobody shop. It mounts to the factory holes where the stock radio mounts.

2. As I said before it runs Windows XP Home edition. I have it running on a Dell d400 laptop. This allows me to wifi/sync. I can also remove the dell from the docking station to bring it inside.

3. Startup controller. I made my own system using a relay, power inverter etc.

BTW The screen/bezel and entire system is for sale if anyone is interested. If you are local or want to fly me out I will help you install it.

I'll trade you a laptop for that screen and bezel

2.8ghz pentium 4
1 gig pc3200 RAM
40 gig HD
128 MB video (ATI)
CD-RW / DVD-ROM

it needs a new ribbon cable for the power button, besides that, its got brand new components, new motherboard, processor, hard drive, and screen.

Well it looks like the car sold on ebay. I have for sale the entire carputer for $1200 plus I will help install it in your car. Also would be willing to take $500 for the screen/bezel.

Registered on mp3car.com and started reading up. Pretty interesting stuff. Would definitely like some behind the scenes pics of your setup if you dont mind. I suppose it would have to wait until after you sell it though.
