Wow tons of questions, some I think I answered but I will try to be more explicit.
1. Screen was cnc machined by a local shop, painted by an autobody shop. It mounts to the factory holes where the stock radio mounts.
2. As I said before it runs Windows XP Home edition. I have it running on a Dell d400 laptop. This allows me to wifi/sync. I can also remove the dell from the docking station to bring it inside.
3. Startup controller. I made my own system using a relay, power inverter etc.
BTW The screen/bezel and entire system is for sale if anyone is interested. If you are local or want to fly me out I will help you install it.

Registered on mp3car.com and started reading up. Pretty interesting stuff. Would definitely like some behind the scenes pics of your setup if you dont mind. I suppose it would have to wait until after you sell it though.
