Greetings everyone. I was at NYIRP on April 28th with my 2004 RSX Type S, and I raced Brandon a bunch of times. It was my first time at a track ever, and I ended up getting 26 runs in.

Here are two of my slips. The one on the left is where I raced Brandon, and the one on the right is my best time. Note: I'm not stock.



The air temperature was 45 degrees. Everyone who was running drag radials and summer tires went home, so we pretty much had the entire track to ourselves.

 

Now that he has some slips and more then 1 witness are you going to pipe down? Here is a breakdown of my best versus one of his slips, see if you can pick out the difference being made.

its no surprise that once people learned how to drive these cars or are very good drivers to begin with, these cars are low 14 seconds stock, whats so hard not to believe? the time slips are right there, people always say "this thread is uselsess with out pics" well hes got pics so deal with it man **** what else do you want? next time plan a meet and meet him there and im sure the same results will happen, stop all the bitching and give credit where credit is due.

6 Videos from 6 different people with that days news paper taped to the window.
3 letters of recommendation from a neighbor
2 background checks
42 time slips
18 still photo's w/ photo id
14 eyewitnesses
a purple heart from the president
a letter from the asphalt on the track where he cut his 60 foot
a phone call from that dude from pinks
and finally a partridge in a pear tree.....

 

I see what you are talking about now!! How about a recent snapshot of the engine bay, I know that may not settle a thing but it will help me! I have trapped 100 MPH stock, once, on a very cool, moist day. The traps are not what's throwing me off. Also why didn't you title it "14.1 and STOCK!!!" I like that " maybe it's a freak in 2nd and 3rd gear?" That wasn't really my point! I was basing my statement off of the slip I listed, which he had a poor 60' but still would manage to pass me in 2nd or 3rd gear, IF HIS REACTION DIDN'T STINK. Smartass!!!

I cut a 2.2 60fter but only got 14.4 out of it and my 2.3 I got a 14.3 run. Sometimes things don't add up. it's all in the car and driver.

well i am going to say thankyou to you hatrickstu along with all the others that are giving me congrats and tip ideas instead of calling me a fagget and saying im a liar. i will gladly post a pick of my engine compartment. anyone in the greater rochester area that is on roclife.org knows im stock and my buddy with a stg2 srt-4 even cant believe my times stock but gives me props for it. im not trying to sound cocky or make trouble, i just came here on dimeo09's advice to join these forums and get in with some other great ss drivers and see what they are running. maybe i should have not sounded so suprised when i first posted the thread, but i truly dont have anough time in my day to lie about this ****. i was running the car in 45-50 degree weather at the track both nights i ran those times, and it was dry conditions with very little rubber down due to new launch pads at the track. i will admit that my 60' arnt the greatest, but i do know how to drive standard, and for only driving it now for just under 5000 miles, feel im a pretty good driver. i will soon post pics of the engine compartment, and after that, if it does get rained out this friday like it looks it may at our track, i will have video soon from the track of me and the car, pulling another 14.1 or better.

thankyou everyone who isint giving me **** saying im a liar and calling me a fagget because im running good stock times. i feel anyone is capable of these times with the g85 if they know how to drive and have the right conditions.

also, e-mail GM and ask them what the conditions were when they ran their track times on the cobalt ss for mag and sticker reviews. GM states it was around 80degrees outside with high humidity. no wonder they couldnt get better then a 14.6 with a professional driver behind the wheel. anyone who knows these cars or any F/I (Force Induction) car knows they run optimal at low tempatures like most other cars because of the air being much more dense. dense air = more Power. please do the math and stop flamming me 280z when ur just mad you cant run my times on a stock SS S/C.

P.S. If anyone is from the New York area and wants to meet up at the track, PM me and i will give dirrections to it. we are meeting in henrietta, NY and heading out the the track from there (about 40 mins away from track)
