You can put me down for a 12.85 @ 109. I'll get the slip uploaded here shortly.

Everytime this thread gets bumped I hope to head back to the track. Maybe I'll get 11's with the new setup.

No nitrous and yes on the big ass slicks that rub the bottom of my struts as they grow lol. Next trip to the track is going to be on street tires.

Lol no just needs smaller tires. They grow so much by the end of the track and rub the struts that it looks like I'm doing a burnout as I cross the traps. No joke. It's effectively like hitting the brakes.

If a car has part's from a shop.....that aren't available to the public for purchase, because they are prototypes / not in production ......is that a shop car?

I have nothing against ZZP , I'm not a hater that bashes them constantly or anything like that...I bought their DP LOL . But if it sounds like a shop car .....and acts like a shop car.......guess what LOL .

I'm not even close to competing on in this throwdown so I'm not asking for me.......But I see guy's who work in their driveway's and scrape to buy parts for their car's ....... being forced to compete with the resources of a shop. Why is this being let go when the rules state "no shop cars" ?

Because the tires hit the bottom of the struts themselves, not the wheel well.

Agreed that the rears are uber important. The method I think most effective? Footballs and limiting chains in the back. Shove the footballs in, lower the car, have two friends sit on the trunk, bolt up the chains. Voila! Stiff as a rock. **** preload lol. Slip numbers:

60 - 1.9775
330 - 5.5305
1/8 - 8.3860 @ 86.84
1000 - 10.8000
1/4 - 12.8430 @ 109.62

Track Elevation is 1,110 ft. Kinda high. I should post up pics of the tire issue. Mtbrent on here saw it first hand. They rub BAD! I'm fairly sure they rub from the second I warm them up. M/T says 1/2" rollout. Bullshit, it's more like 1" rollout. I am seriously expecting better times on street tires. These 1/4 mile times do my car no justice to it's actual power.

I still think nothing good can come from that track, at least not without them putting some effort into using some traction compound....

yeah, cause the factory ones are over the inside few inches of thread width. coilovers, iirc, have a LOT smaller diameter and do not cover any part of the tire. which would solve your rubbing issues

It's the tires. It's been said and shown time and time again. The math, the numbers, the feel, the pull, in no way does it add up to the 1/4 mile times/speeds I am seeing. There is a 459whp GTO around here that consistently lays down like 11.8 1/4 times, and even off the bottle I edge him out every time by 100. Idk, I'm hoping this weekend's track outing comes through on street tires. I am going to order a set of drag radials that fit for now, but I don't think they will come through in time.
