2011 Drag Racing Times
3mm head gasket and built head..stock bottom end...kerr told me it would probly pop but i wanted to build it this winter anyways. The s2k from hell was like 760whp on stock everything so its most def possible. Ive never driven it on that tune yet because the 579whp is plenty enough for me...on the track id run under an 11.49 so id need a rollbar anyways on the 580 pump gas tune so as soon as i get a roll bar ill run the 790 tune track only...but apparently im full of **** and dont know anything about my own car....i am here to impress nobody lol my dads camaro runs mid 8's so if im gonna brag it will be about that
o i know its not you doubting it haha but ya i understand why it was never driven like that...at 580 when i accelerate it takes the breath out of you. I just hate posting numbers here cause people bash pretty much no matter what...unless drewbroo broke into my garage and dynoed the car he has no idea of the power it has. Previous owner didnt put a ginormous turbo for nothing

im going to the track tomorrow..i have the 580 dyno on my computer the 790 is a printout and with a 2 megapixel camera its not even worth takin a pic with my phone. times i get tomorrow will be on the 580 tune but i should still run a low 11 high 10 until they tell me im done for no roll bar

i didnt brag one bit lol i asked ex why he was making such a big jump in injector size because i made 790 on 1600's and he was gonna use almost 2000cc injectors..like i said belive me or not i really do not care one bit i should have a slip tomorrow if it doesnt rain and ill try to post up as good of a pic as i can..idk why its so hard to believe 790 dude the 580 was done on 93 octane on only 22psi. on c16 and 31 psi wat do u think it would make? Like i said i know it will pop if i run around on that tune but i wanna build it anyways so it doesnt matter
i'd believe those numbers. s2ks are known for their bottom ends holding unreal amounts of power in stock form. most people that do turbo/procharge them only do a built head for that very reason. the bottom end doesn't need to be built for the goals of majority of the owners. hell i'm just the opposite, i did 443 on 91 and an unported head, 591 on the 110. his numbers are definitely attainable for a turbo s2k, but whether that car actually has those numbers some sheets are in order.
i'm ready more than anyone else. hahah. i just calculated milage today. 4,410miles since buying it in august of '10. i'm taking a 2week trip on tuesday and then when i get back the car is going back up to michigan, so theres another week atleast between the trailer coming to pick up the car and them doing the work. so 3weeks minimum before i get out to the track. if it hadn't rained the first weekend i was home and the lifter hadn't broke the following weekend. times would have already been had. but something else is wrong with the bottom end so thats why its going up there. head is fixed but i'm still gonna have them put in the gmr solid lifters.
lol i mean i just have no idea what its gonna do. i'm not going to to be using the 2step or the nls, but even still, i can see 1.9-1.8s happening on the drag radials. on the pump gas i would say mid 11s. race gas high 10s??? ryan did his 10.7 on about 535whp and a 1.8 60' on the 24.5/8.5's. but without slicks i'm gonna lose traction in second from about 5k-7krpms so would say a 10.99 or better is still possible on the race gas. now whether i can take it there in my first outing on this setup, thats up in the air.
