7.63 in the 1/8 :)

well got out on the track today and pulled a 7.63@91mph with a 1.95 60' i only did three runs with the car as i was concentrating more on my bike since they were having a $2000 bracket race. i also didn't want to run a 1/4, that will come shortly when my brother is driving. here's the slips:

first run 7.63@91mph:

second run 7.92@93mph:

my bike 6.18@120mph lost the race because i was dialed in at 6.20

hopefully i will get the chance to put it on the 1/4 very soon cause i still haven't wound it out really hard

it's an ss/sc turbo conversion with a gt-k 450 and dr's, after some practice i should be able to get it down to 11.5's easily. i'm just not too experienced dragging cars, my brother should hit around 11 flats with it, that's what we've been shooting for, and in the 10's if we decide to go ahead and install nitrous

it's a stock looking ss, except for the fmic and supercharger replaced by a plate and intake pipe.

yea i assumed you had at least pistons cause i know the hypereutectic stockers would not hold together to run 11's, that's for sure.

Nice runs. Can't wait to see what it will pull with in the 1/4. Have you dynoed it yet? I would like to know how much the motor likes the turbo with the 8.8:1 pistons. (or did you get the 8.5:1, I can't remember)

i can push up to 27ish psi, but i'm running at 24psi on the dyno it was running a bit more than 26 psi and was good for 403whp@7500rpm.. so i'm guessing at 24psi i'm somewhere between 360-380whp

Damn nice man! My question now is, how the hell is your tranny holding up? I've toasted two third gears, and I don't have nearly that whp number!

Yeah, I would like to know about the tranny to and what exactly are you doing for a head gasket? Did you O-ring the block?
