Do wheels make a difference?
How much of a difference does lighter wheels make in the 1/4. I'm planning on using my tax return to get some 16" Motegi MR7's with BFG g-Sport 205/45ZR16. My best run so far is 16.062@86mph with no back seat/subwoofer and amp and half tank of gas. I'm aiming to break 15's.
Who cares if it's fast if it's not sexy?
Anna Kournikova - Sucks at tennis+hot = Super famous
Maria Sharapova - Good at Tennis+hot = Super famous
Amelie Mauresmo - Current Tennis Champion+ not hot= Who?
Keep it sexy bitches!

good stat... you are absolutely correct... From my years of drag racing experience... 100lbs of weight does equal .10 and 1mph in the 1/4. HOWEVER when you are talking about rotating mass... that number increases. So it is definitely a valueable investment. As you will likely see more than .10 and 1mph with a reduction of 100lbs of rotating mass. Also, you will find a very nice gain in ET with the addition of drag radials... drag radials alone are likely to get you into the 15's. We run and sell the Hoosier DOT drag radials and would recommend them to anyone. They have many sizes from 15 up through 17 inch.
Rotating mass does make a world of a difference. Makes me wish I had just saved up the money to get the lightweight 3-piece wheels instead of my Hot Wheels. But I still get mad compliments and looks and stares everywhere I go. That leaves me content. Plus I can accept the pothole I hit a few months ago better with such a frugal disission.
