I wish mine was faster. I know that I can get a better run out of it I just need to get my 60' down a little better. can wait for next spring and a 75 shot. It's killing me just having everything sitting in my apartment.

haha I agree. I am prob. going to end up with spray. I want to try and get near 13s without it first. I have exhaust, header, tires, and tune to do before I put on the spray.

yeah 22psi is pretty low for a street tire. I just keep mine in the low 30s I don't change things around, just in case i forget to change them back. But I am also looking at getting stickier tires for the spring.

22 is way to low. Stick with the upper 20's low 30s. I usually run about 28lbs in the front depends on the weather/track conditions. I'll start at about 35 or so and start working my way down as the night goes on depending on what hooks and what doesn't.

1/8th miles are welcome. There's one 20 min from my house and is what i most frequent. Closest 1/4track that is actually worth to run on is 3 hrs. Went to IRP in indy and it was hoorible. .5 sec slower 1/8th mile times 2-3mph slower........ could only muster a 15.3 @ 92ish.

edit:Never mind checked my slips

IRP times
60 2.39
330 6.59
1/8 10.00 72 mph
1000 12.92
1/4 15.39 91mph

local 1/8th mile
60 2.28
330 6.34
1/8 9.66 74mph

Best I ran right before we left it was about 75deg. and track prep was decent but mine wasn't. I left the 38lbs in the tires.... Next time I will be more prepared.

0.058 - Reaction
2.403 - 60'
10.096 - 660~1/8th
73.43

I need a tune so bad...down low is killing me, and my launches were decent, had a few wheel spin problems but I worked around it. Maybe next time I go I will have a tune.

yeah you 60' is pretty slow, nice reaction though. What are you laucning at? try lowing the PSI to 33 or so.

Is it possible there's a tune discrepancy or some other factor that's allowing the 08's to run such lower times relatively stock? I'm a 07 fully bolted (I/H/DP/E) and the best I could pull was:

Left lane

Now granted I'm completely untuned so I would obviously get a lot considering the stock tune is crap plus all the added mods. I don't have anything else like suspension, mounts, or tires, but I did remove my spare tire in the back. Not really interested in removing interior seats to lower my times.

I saw that some people are hitting 2.2's in their 60'. I consider myself a pretty good driver but I'll admit the track conditions weren't the greatest, motor was running a little hot. How can I get my times down other than with mods. I'm thinking I need to get my launch down better, I normally run on the street where I'm a much better driver. It's easier to just dump the clutch and throttle the gas... at the track is tough because I have to rev HIGH HIGH HIGH and feather the clutch otherwise it either bogs because its really sticky or I hop.

Suggestions?

Work on your reaction for one. Good time non the less. I have to work on my track prep next time. And get some suspension mods, or just put some mini footballs inside your rear springs to stiffin up the rear end. I think it was posted here or somewhere else. I will try to find it.

Hatrickstu Mod:

Next time I go I might try this.

Stu said it works awesome...plus it's cheap and easily removed/installed. Props from me, if I get my tune and slicks next Thursday I will hit the track up again and see the difference.

That's the main thing with me, I'm trying to talk between RedFOCZ (Mike) and Ecotecon18s (Terry) so Mike can send Terry a tune and it will me a lot easier to tune me since Terry is closer lol.

I'm really looking forward to is either this Thursday it will be tuned or next weekend. Then track time to compare, plus I'll have drag radials on top of that.
