fastest cobalt
So i remember a week or so ago there was a post about a cobalt running a 8.96 or something like that.
anyways it was a big deal about it and i was wondering why? I seen something in an super street magazine about a drag racing event and **** where mazdaspeed 6 and cobalts and scion tcs were all running in the 7s..
So i mean correct me if im wrong but why isnt that the big deal. and its not 1/8th mile either because these cars looked exactly like the 8.96 guys car

That's not really a Cobalt at all though. I has a front end that vaguely looks like it, that's all. I'm guessing the 8.96 Cobalt was still FWD and 4cyl and the other faster times are not. I haven't looked into it, but that's my best guess
The Cobalt driven by John Heinricy had 1450 HP. I'd like to see some times from that one. It still looked like a Cobalt and all, just with a couple mods.
I saw it at the ALMS racing in Detroit and got a few pics but they are back in PA.
marty ladwig FTW, i meet him once when i was at track in san antonio last year, it was at last years import faceoff, hopefully he is there again this year(21st of dec) if he is i sure do want to talk to him again, he seemed like a cool guy and said he set up a shop in SA that specialize in the cobalt
