first night at the track

Well decided to go to the track for the 1st time in about 2 years....almost 4 with a fwd car.

1st pass was 14.3@104 2.4 60'
2nd pass was 14.08@105 2.4 60'
3rd pass was 13.7@107 2.3 60'

KN Intake, downpipe, trifecta tune. 25psi in the tires.

Im sure there is more in it, and I think I was shifting too early because I would hit 4th right before the traps.

no e85 for me, but i will be switching to hptuners in the next month or so.

They dont sell e85 here, which is insane, because this is where they grow all the damn corn!

You guys can run meth though, with a competent tuner you should be able to run reliably.

basically, it was kind of a shock going from rwd/drag radials back to fwd/street tires. I'm still surprised i was able to pull even a 2.3. I was waiting for 2.5's all night

i think its pretty common with stock redline to have to shift to 4th right before the traps. Thats about the same place i do it also, but cant go to 7,400 due to valve springs. The stock k04 cant keep full boost that high anyway, so your really not losing much by shifting. Next time i go i am going to move my shift points down to about 6,000, as the stocker cant keep up past that point anyway.
