yea man last week i was red lighting, because i always left on the last yellow. With the slicks it hooked so go i had to wait for the last yellow to go off then left. I got paired up with funny cars all night to so that didnt help much. I was the fastest street car there though no one could believe i was just a bolt on cobalt with no internals

i was trapping 107 on a mild tune. on a bit more aggressive now with the clutch holdin better and new tires so i wonder if i could trap maybe 110. bumped up the timing 6 degrees. made 280whp 236wtq today on dyno. numbers seemed to be low according to what some of the other balts were getting.

i would also like to add that my 12.1 last night was with only the passenger seat taken out. I was gonna do some serious weight reduction but strained my back bad at work pulling a 4.2L inline six motor from a trailblazer. So i didnt even do really anything i wanted to and was hopped up on vicodin and flexeril last night too just to take the pain of a 1.7 60' lol shell go 11's definately.

Nice times man! Its amazing what a little timing and minimal weight reduction along with keeping it in 3rd will do. Makes me want smaller slicks lol. Seems like the GMPP clutch is holding up well, which is good news since mine just showed up
Next time out I should pull some weight out of my car...since last time I was in such a rush I left the spare tire and 2 small jacks in the car along with 2 computers and a half tank of gas
Also a new air filter is in order(made a discovery recently.....pretty embarrassing lol lets just say I can actually hear my TVS whine now)
Think youll get to go back to the track this year?
You know thats really weird cause I trapped 106.7 back on a 2.8 and meth on only 21* timing and stock catback and trapped 109.7 on E85 and 2.7 M62, but this last time out my friend's 2.7 M62 E85 SS with same mods I had except gmpp exhaust with even a better tune than I had back then only could trap 107 no matter what, just like the above m62 e65 car that posted. It also seemed weird that a friend's LS1 camaro with intake, full exhaust, and a tune could only trap 106 at its highest. Maybe some environmental factors are different at each track, although the day we raced was only like 82* out and the humidity was only 85% so who knows lol

yea man i was launching at 4500-5k rpms and the GMP clutch never missed a beat. Ive got at least 10 runs on slicks now with 1.7 60's and she hasnt slipped one bit. Its a bad ass clutch youll be happy. dont know if ill make it back out this year theres only a few left and the balts hit the wallet pretty good this season lol. Over the winter valve springs and ported head. Would have liked to do some serious wr but oh well ( and now ill agree i think the gmp catback is probably holding me back now im going to make a 2.5 catback at work )

thanks buddy thats kinda the point i was trying to make. My car is at 72k completely stock internals with the TVS bolt ons meth and a great tune and the numbers dont lie. Yes the TC will always make more torque but good numbers can still be made on a blowered car if done right
