Hypsy IS perfect

OK so maybe I'm not perfect but my reactions were. Hit my first .000 light of the year and 2nd in 2 years Friday at Englishtown, NJ on the Hot Rod Power Tour. Felt sooooo cool to look up as I went down the track and see that .000 on he board that I didn't even care about the time, which was a 12.938 and the 12 I had guaranteed Hot Rod Magazine I would get on HRPT 06, so I was super, crazy happy the rest of the day. It was cool to have everyone cheering for me everytime I got matched up against a V8 just because they wanted to see me embaress them. It was even better to have all the other "long haulers" that were watching the runs congratulate me on the 12 and perfect light. I don't think I'll top this for a long time.

Oh yeah and least I forget....look for my car in the Power Tour coverage issue. They took a killer picture of my car at a scenic overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway that I have a feeling might make the magazine. Should be the October or November issue. I'm trying to get ahold of the picture either way though.

Damn! Thats pretty good! I'm a bracket racer my self, my best RT in my cobalt is .026, but my best RT in my truck is .008, close but no cigar. I did get a .001 RED in my cobalt if that counts (prolly not)

Yeah, but in bracket racing I ususally shoot for between a .015 and .030 light, good lights but not pushing the tree. My first round of bracket racing EVER, I cut a beautiful .013 light then precided to break out by .01 seconds DAMN!!! My blood boils everytime I think about it

I get two rounds of qualifying before every series race. I try to run the same R/Ts every run so i can factor it into my dial-in. If I run two .1xx in qualifying I'll factor that in and try to get that R/T again and again....and can normally do it.

Hmm maybe I'll try that at my next race. I usually just make 2 runs and and make my dial in about .05 seconds faster than my fastest run.

That's all well and good if your R/Ts are close every time. If your way random on R/Ts though it won't help you much. Say your pulling .100 R/Ts all day then raise your dial-in .100 to compensate and bring it back to .000. Make sense?

Wikky: I love when morons ask me if the stickers gave me power and I can say yes Y'all laugh at me before you see numbers. Afterwards y'all cry as you watch me celebrate a win. Not you personally but other racers that is.

Oh and blown...try pulling a .002 light and running .010 over your dial against a guy pulling a .005 light and running .009 over his dial. That will boil your blood. Lost by less than .004 seconds but that's the way it goes sometimes.
