with the way my car's been doing I'm hoping it'll trap in the high 110+ range hopefully @118mph or so once I fully tune it. If I can get it to hook it should hit low 12's pretty easy and possible high 11 sec run. (once the new motor is in though, swapping to the race built auto and trying to break 9s) but thats a year or 2 down the road.

I ran 13.9 bone stock and a buddy of mine ran 13.4x bone stock with slicks.

Thank you Paul...I KNOW the Cobalt is capable of some damn nice times with ONLY traction/suspension mods. Wheel hop is the death of us.

listen, first of im just being real, im not trying to bash the cobalt. So you got ONE fast car, personally i know 3 srt4s from the central jersey area that are all int he 11s lol, the rest of them are all in the 12s and the guys who are in the 13s dont have slicks lol. Its like putting a ms3 vs a srt4, the ms3 will get raped......the 3 that show up

my car is capable of 181kph in 3rd gear.
im sure i can take out a few srts that show.
the twinscrew car will make a few srt owners scratch their heads
and the g5 gt will surprise alot of srt-s that are not heavily modded.

we have a few srt guys here in the 11s, i give them just as much respect as i give my own car, the fact is a cobalt wont loose to and srt4 ALL the time

 

depending on the date I'd be down for this too. I can see if we can get more participaton from from my clube here. There's about 17+ balts here in va beach area.

 

tune didnt' have header than.

as for srt's I've had a local guy go 12.6 on slicks and just a wga, that's all. I don't care if they are faster, hopefully it'll give some of the cobalt peeps a swift kick in the ass to step up th game and realize the actual potential of these cars once you ditch the stock s/c.
and personally, I've taken out a few stock turbo full bolt ons srt's, one big turbo (his afrs' were all f'd up) and everything in between. As I said at the track, it really comes down to the driver. =I know there are some good drivers out there and some damn fast srt's, but not every one of them is. soo that's that. It would be a good american car meet, that's all I'm trying to get setup. with some track time for everyone and no honda's for once. that's all I ask

 

Why must you come in here to throw a monkey wrench into this?? Who cares if they tear up the track against us, this is just to get some SRT4's together to run against some Cobalts and what not. All about having a good time. Hell, with all the Turbo conversions coming around, who knows what kinds of times the Cobalts will be hitting.

By the way, I think the Cobalts hold their own pretty damn well considering the SRT's are running turbos on a larger motor then us as well. I don't care if I lose, just as I don't lose to an **** sniffer with a big mouth that likes to keep runnin off at the mouth about his/her win

 

the only srt-4s i worry about are ones with out the factory turbo
those things are TINY!

yea, i said that like 3 pages ago it wouldn't even be close. our fastest cars in the area are 13 second cars racing a group who's SLOWEST cars are inthe 13's.

everyone keeps saying "well if the guy can't drive it will be a good race". so all srt-4 drivers suck and all cobalt drivers are great?

i know it's all in fun and everything, but geeze.

on a side note, maybe a few of the guys can come in their GTO's, because nothing beats them.

I don't know where everyone got me saying srt drivers can't drive... never did, never will, well cept for scarface (local's). but you never know, miss a shift, lose a race these things happen. Even if we just go in for bracket racing, don't matter how fast you are, as long as you are consistant. that way you can run a 12 sec car vs a 13 sec car evenly.

Ya'll are urkin me...Watch, I'm shooting for some damn nice numbers with no nitrous and no meth, and only a 2.79" pulley. I'm gonna hit up E-Town to see how I run out there, I already know how Atco's track prep is sooo...We will see.

I'm not saying that I'll be beating some crazy fast SRT's, but I have beat a stg2 with some bolt-ons, and I raced a stg1 with a couple bolt-ons and him and I were dead even...My car's runnin a bit better now too, and I am workin on more cooling mods. Either way...Should be good times.

Who cares?? Maybe we will surprise some people with the potential and/or numbers that are cars are capable of. It doesn't matter if we do a track day with em or not, people are gonna talk **** either way. Might as well hit the track and have a good time. Maybe there won't even be a large turn-out, maybe like 2 or 3 SRT's show and they are slow as ****, maybe only like 3 Cobalts show and they run like ****, who knows.....This is for fun
