Interesting Night at the track...

In South Carolina last night we had the Kuhmo Street Wars deal going on. Let's just start with saying track prep was non existant period! I got a total of three runs in...

1st run: 2.818 60', 11.560@70.07 1/8th I spun down the entire track and launched at idle.

2nd run: Turned max boost to 50% in first gear across the board, I love HPTuners.
2.345 60', 9.491@76.46 1/8th
Something felt weird on this run though.

3rd run: Left boost setting the same and lowered tire pressures up front a tad
2.349 60', 9.511@78.45 1/8th
Realized on this run that on this run, in first gear, I need to ramp my boost up from 50% progressively to 100% in the upper RPMs because I had to wait on the car in the upper RPMs. Once I hit second though I tore off damn fast.

Morale of the story, without track prep you will have no traction even with the 2.8" I swapped back in for the night, I learned a great deal about how much HPTuners can assist launching at the track, Driveshaft Shop axles kick ass, and I definitely need slicks! It was fun though even know my times do not reflect what the car is capable of at all! If I could have hooked up, I could've seen 8.6's easily since my buddy ran an 8.9 in his EVO and my car is a lot faster than that!

yeah 8.8 to 8.6 is deffinatly doable in your car maybe even an 8.5, my best was 8.77and im working on getting that down. i havnt ran at the track i normally go to with my current tune but i did run at memphis with it and ran like rubbish due to lack of practice at that track. the more you run that track the better you will do there and the worse you will do every where else. atleast thats my thoughts on the matter.

Not bad times at all....I've ran a 9.1 at 81.9 on a gm stage 2+2.8 pulley and a CAI, on a stock clutch on street tires.....hopefully this year after I pick up some 17's and slicks, with the NEW clutch and stuff I can get somewhere into the 8's in the 1/8mile....

I'm not feeling bad at all, I know the car is fast. The track just wasn't there and I need some slicks!
