i want some slicks so bad. but being broke doesnt help. I also want stage three :-(

 

DP, CP, Intake, Trifecta w/ crap street tires everything else stock.
2nd pass ever made.

 

Drove around the water box
No burnout
No rpms at the launch
Wound out all gears to about 6500-6600rpms

I only got to make 2 passes because it's late in the season and the place was packed.
I was shaking like a damn leaf on this pass.
My wife, a good buddy, my brother, his wife, my sister and our kids we're there watching my first time ever at a track hahaha.
I had a blast and didn't break anything and found 5 bucks in the parking lot, go me.

Wert you must be spinning those street tires hard! Your trap speed is very impressive. I ran the same time as you 13.3 but with a trap speed of only 108-109. Only mods were drop in filter and trifecta. Iam trying to get into the high 12s with just that. I also NLS every gear, ets drop significantly doing so.

 

I will be going to the strip on the 20th! 2nd time ever. Only made 2 passes so my times might not be great. I will be attempting a run or 2 on my street tires and then slapping on my drag radials after. Partout if i dont break into 13s -_- lol

Very good easily capable of low-mid 13s.

Street tires are basically useless at the track with the Zfr. Now that I have the 4.45trans its basically dumb to even try a hard launch or wot second. Its beyond spin city really. I'm definitely spinning and can't do anything about it. Unless I get slicks. Getting into the 12s on streets on 93 is gonna be super hard. Best I ran on stock turbo was a 13.22 @ 107 on a 60ft in a negative DA last November.

 

Yea, your car is very impressive. I was supposed to try again yesterday but the track was closed so we will see if I can do it next week.

 

Don't try and launch aggressively then. Keep it easy in 1st, get on it a little more in second, and then rip it in 3rd.

 

I babied it out of the hole and hammered it only in third and forth and managed my 12.89 and a 12.94 @ 116. If I hammer down the hole time I can only get 13s but at high trap speeds. It sucks but its tricky. I might go one more time to the track this year. Other than that its useless without slicks. I'm just embarrassing myself and the car.

Welcome to my world. And I still have another 200whp to play with if I turn it up haha.

 

I'm attempting to get slicks for the 29th for when a group of guys I know are all going to the track. But I just took a chunk out of my thumb at work on the drill press and its gonna set me back. I don't think slicks are happening. :/

Haha I'm working out a partnership with a company to get some wheels and slicks myself. I'm afraid funds are scarce for all of us.

I finally broke 9s on stock tires. sooo happy.

 

Lol 1/8th mile racing sucks. I wouldn't even do it. My power band just kicked in basically.

I dont have much choice. idk where the nearest 1/4 is. plus my car is basically stock so I cant justify driving x amount of miles when there is a track less than 10 minutes away. lol

 

Went to Toronto Motorsports park and pulled off best time in my 2006 ss/sc. Ran a 13.99 @ 97.11 MPH with a 60" of 1.966

 

Looks like a rwd time slip.

 

nope thats my front wheel drive. I put a set of slicks on it today and it helped out big time
