Luciano Nichetti, owner and driver of the NDR Team Florida team and Cobalt #711 has always had a love for drag racing that stems from his record setting times in Brazil. Recently...Nichetti has been focused on EcoTec power! He's acquired 4 of the baddest Cobalts / cars on the planet and formed a professional drag racing team for the states.

New Update 7/15/13:

A new car has arrived at the shop and lots of new parts are coming in for the ProFWD cars . Two new Garrett GTX47 turbos that should provide some huge power.

New update 8/1/13!

Lots of stuff going on around the race shop as of late...let me catch you up on a few exciting things!

First off...the black car formally owned by Gary Gardella will be going down the track tomorrow. The team has done all the checks on the car and fired it up this evening. Here's the video:

The Blue Hot Rod car is currently at Titan Motorsports getting some work done to prepare the engine and transmission.





The Red Hot Rod car is running very well and even took a spin today Check out the pics and video here:

The White car will be getting the chassis looked over this Saturday and some welding will be going on in the next week.

New update!

The blue Pro FWD Cobalt that Luciano drives has been fired up for the first time in almost a year since the motor let go and is looking good! It's currently running on just gasoline but over the next couple of days should get it's pro tune / running methanol.

Awesome. I was wondering what happened to the Gardella Racing cars. If I was closer to FL, I'd like to see them run

 

We'll be in Maryland November 1-3 for the world cup finals if that helps any! We would love to meet other Cobalt drivers and have you guys check out the cars!

 

Anyone in the Orlando area...I urge you to check out this weekend's Test N Tune at Orlando Speedworld Dragway! We'll have the pro cars out at the track for the weekend doing some pre-season testing on the track and could have some high 190+mph runs in the low 7s. If you don't get a chance...don't worry we'll have lots of pics and videos to drool over .

New update 9/5/13!

The red hot rod went to the track for some testing today. Here's some pics!

New update from the testing session with the red hot rod car at Orlando Speedworld Dragway. Car went 8.63 @133mph on a low boost / tune when driven by Luciano Nichetti. Then driver Airton Carraro went 8.96 @ 163mph again on a a mild tune. Below are pictures and videos from the event.

Would love to meet ya, we should have two...maybe 3 cars there. Also, October 18-20th there's a big race at Orlando Speedworld that we also plan to enter.

 

Nichetti Drag Racing will be at the World Sport Compact Finals at Orlando Speed World Dragway October 18th-20th! We are hoping to see some other Cobalt owners at the event and would love for you guys to come by and check out our cars that will be racing.

We have plans to race these cars currently:

2 Pro FWD 200mph+ and low 7's cars and 2 Hot Rod mid 7's at 180mph+ cars.

I know right? As for updates, they'll come in over the next 3 months as the team is now in the off season during the winter months. Coming up in February (21-23) though, there is a race at Orlando Speed World Dragway for the Sport Compact Winter Nationals! Plan on having at least 2 cars there.

Big thing have happened over the last few months with the PRI show that was in Indy and recently acquiring a new shop that will allow us to fine tune the cars.
