gotta ride the clutch out longer on the launch, drop it at 3000 rpms, get the 60' down to 2.1, on street tires thats extremely good considering out 1st gears are very tricky, ALSO are you shifting at the right points? shifting early will make for considerable power loss and will explain your horrible times, you need to be shifting at 6700-6900 so that way you dont bounce off the rev limiter, ALSO do you NO LIFT SHIFT? our cars were made for this, no lift shift will help, follow theses rules and then if your still having shitty times, lol idk

Its deff. the elevation, the 60' is okay, but look at the 1/8 mile time, 9.8 seconds! My 05 Ram had a better 8th mile time.

change the ic pump and bleed the air out of the system, you WILL pick up 5 mph at least.

like i said your 60's are not that bad for street tires your car just doesnt do squat with the back half

i ran my car out here with a DA of 4,900 and still trapped 100-101 every time, bone stock lnf

A bone stock LNF is programmed to achieve the same amount of power no matter what elevation you are at. If you are at higher elevation, your boost will be higher to achieve the same power as someone at a much lower elevation.

It's the altitude. Your trap speeds just aren't there. I'm sure your tune is fine. There is probably a little more to get out of it, but not a lot. You could do better on your launch for sure, but you just aren't going to break 13s at that altitude and your power level.

You are just going to have to do more work than most to achieve the same results. That's the disadvantages of higher altitude man. Sorry.

yeah I got it. Id be happy with mid 14's which I know I should have here.

I put the car on the lift today, put a new gasket in at the dp, (old one was bad) and then I hit the IC pump with a hammer, and noticed that one part of the hose running into the pump, Hose I installed when adding the cobra h/e had a kink in it, pretty bad one, so fixed that, and now the car feels stronger, like way stronger.

Ima be going to the track next wed and well see if this helped at all. I just want 14's, damn 14's and id be happy.

Jesus ******* christ, what is so hard to see here. Your problem is your elevation. You are making about all you can at the elevation you are at.

Take a trip down to Topeka or KC and run 13's all day long. Make a short vacation out of it.
holy crap i saw this thread and was like wtf has no on realized he is racing in denver? lol that altitude is killing him. im not suprised at all by this. dont worry, theres prob nothing wrong with you car man. and btw to all the retards saying a 2.2 60 foot is horrible youre all retarded. for a fwd car, especially the ss/sc which is horrible for launching, a 2.2 60 foot on street tires is not bad.

that does seem a bit slow but im going to say unless you dyno the car or log the car we cant really say whats going on... sounds like just ultra high altitude is getting you..

we switched on the streets, both think mines stronger, faster by a bit. weve ran a couple rolls, ive pulled her a lil. nothing super major. this was before my exhaust work.

last dyno was jan 1 2009, minus the exhaust, cai, tune, sts, cobra h/e.
242 hp, 221 tq. I should be over that now.

Update!

Hit the ic pump with a hammer, seems to be working fine
fixed the exhaust leak
put brand new k&n filter on
pulled TB off and cleaned it

Launch 2500 rpm, tires 23 psi

video
YouTube - Q

Did a lil better, this is my fastest et and mph ever

Is there a way to tighten the shirt linkage? when its in gear I can wiggle it around like an inch, I always have a hard time gettting into 2nd and sometimes 3rd while on the track, I think if I can fix this I could break 14's

DA calc says 14.333 @ 99.469
