Some LSJ 1/4 footage and slips
I doubt they would have been bent, if the car has been running for this long. Im no stranger to internals, but a bent valve would have been pretty noticeablem if not catastrophic for the rest of the head.
how much are you boosting on that 2.8?
I boosted 17.1 psi w/ the 2.8 and full 3" catless exhaust. difference between you n I is that have the noodle header, which I believe restricts airflow some.

****** 13-14 psi and then it varies sometimes...at night i saw 16 one time but I have been tuned differently now...so yea idk man something is up...
Best way to check to see how much you truly boosting is whether or not you have PSI or KPA set up in your config file while you log in HPT.
Do a pull in 3rd until 7k.
if its KPA...
use the conversion tool located under tools. subtract the converted number by 14.7 and thats your PSI at that RPM.
if its psi... well there ya go...
cause local LNF guy I know ran a 14.2 @ 101.6 w/ a 2.3 60'
Your exactly where you need to be dude lol. Back when my car ran properly, on a 2.7 and just a custom 2.5 catback w/ a ported blower, I saw 15-16 PSI.
