Viper engine...Hemi who cares.

The SRT-10 is a 15 second vehicle. Viper engine is just all hype. Those trucks have NO traction and they just plain suck.

A Nissan Sentra Spec V can run or even out run them. So a fully modded LS can too.


OOOOO A VIPER ENGINE!!! Man...do some research the SRT4 mops SRT10s any day of the week.

I've driven a few of each of them. Even a SRT8...guys the SRT10 is just a Dodge 1500 with NO traction. Wonder where I get my information? I work for Dodge.

Sorry I just post the obvious Spec Vs run low 15s. I've seen three hit high 14s. I've seen a couple LSs pretty quick.

If you get good drivers in those cars...the SRT10 is toast. I wish dodge never made one honestly. The Ford F150 SVT leaves the SRT10 like it was nothing.

And I'm talking with experience with a STOCK SRT-10.

 

wow, 15 second truck, a little off there. And of course they have traction issues, its a pickup!!! And that viper engine is pretty damn stout considering its been running for 10+ years with no major changes.

And wow you work for dodge so we should believe you it's crap? That means absolutely nothing. And a spec V and a fully modded LS take one? man? Granted its a heavy pickup, but not that heavy

 

meaning I've had the chance to take these suckers on the road. They are not impressive. Around here in this area you put your average joe behind the wheel they run around the low 15 mark. That's putting all factors into play.

I'm sure you can get them into the mid 14s pretty easily. The regular cab 1500 is light weight in the rear which sucks.

For a truck...its decent, but everyone is all over that it has a viper engine in it. Big flipping deal. These trucks can very well be out ran by a SS S/C stock for stock.

My posts have been towards that one who said BS it has a viper engine in it.

So yet again my bottom line opinion on these trucks is they SUCK! I rather drive a Ford SVT over this truck. And I hate Fords.

 

I want to see a stage 2 SS/SC with CAI, headers, and exhaust go after the new Mustang GT.

 

Dude thats my exact setup and Ive been hunting one for weeks now. Of course when I didnt have Stage II they were all over trying to run me, now I cant find anything but the old ones. Ill update you with results soon, if I dont find one soon, im getting ahold of my buddies brother. He has one, might be an auto, with flowmasters.

Yah and my buddy has one and a quad cab hemi as well. We've messed around plenty of times and a stock SS/SC with equal drivers might keep up FROM A ROLL. From a dig no way!!

I agree that the OP's story could have happened, after a little discussion. But these trucks are in no way ****, and IIRC are still a couple tenths faster than an SVT.

How are cars that kill everything in their segments a "pile of crap" minus the SRT-6 and Viper????

SRT-4 = fastest FWD car and sedan and car under 25k
GC SRT-8 was the fastest SUV, it is by far the fastest SUV that is somewhat affordable.
SRT-8 magnum/charger/300c are faster than the GTO and CTS-V
SRT-10 = fastest production truck

The Cobalt is fast but isn't superior. Some of you guys have let this car go to your head...And I can spot you tools on the road, acting hard thinking all other rides are inferior. I LOVE to take these douche bags down a notch when they try racing my LS1. See sig.

Dodge has some great performing cars. You can't sit here and say the SRT-4 sucks...because stock to stock it smokes the SS/SC off the line. The Viper has out performed Corvette for so many years...the C6 finally contends with the current Viper performance wise.

I chose the SS/SC because it's more refined and light years ahead of Dodge for stylish interior. Not to mention that beautiful whine But anyway, stop the immature BS I'm sick of reading it.

 

im not sure if your talking dirently to me but, i know how fast my car is (not very in the big picture of things), and honestly i dont try to make myself out to be a hard ass... i pull up to nice cars all the time to give them you must have so much fun woopin on 4-bangers in you vette.
