SS vs. '06 gt stang

i went to the track tonight and ran twice against, i believe, an '06 mustang gt. i dont know, it was a new one. anyway, the first race he had me by about a car... the second race, i got a better launch and i was right at his rear bumper. im sure the results would be different in the 1/4, but for the 1/8 im pretty impressed with what our cars can do! overall, a good night...

p.s. there was a 80's model civic hatch out there killing everything, i think he was running anywhere from 8.0 -8.5's. pretty crazy... haha!

A hatch running good 1/8 mile times? Thats kinda fishy. Usualy those cars care kinda dogy from a sit-still.

There is a guy at our 1/8 mile track with a pink CRX with a LS/Vtec and 75 shot that runs low to mid 8's. Doesnt go over very well with the muscle car guys though.

i know that 05+ gts run 13.5 consistently in the quarter and as low as 13.2 with a good driver on a nice cold day with good track prep. 60' times of around 1.9 what do we run 14.5? the mustang is carrying another 500 lbs over us and as that became less of a factor you would start to really see the mustang pull hard. aka, 1/8 is deceptivly close, the 1/4 would show you the difference between "205" and "300" (more like 220 vs 320)
