if you're straight line racing you spend most of the time in the upper rpm/power band anyways, where torque is not as important. so the higher HP car would win imo...
now if you were doing a road course with some tight turns and stuff... then that torque advantage would help more

Can't be. The hp and torque numbers would have to be a lot closer. If a ms3 had 280whp, it would probably have 300 trq or something similar.
