Sorry...voted no. I think you are going to hit a brick wall at 13.2 or so. Are you able to stay in 3rd though the traps?

On an unrelated note...How far is FT Riley From KCIR?

yes, I'm able to stay in 3rd. My 3rd maxes out at like 120mph. So I won't be shifting out of 3rd for a while. lol. At least not until I get a tvs.

I'm not sure how far ft. riley is. Just mapquest it.

btw, it's just the way I see it, but I've went from trapping 74/94 on street tires to 80/100 on slicks. Pretty impressive if you ask me for not having any bolt ons or a pulley yet. I'm just now adding bolt ons and even more cooling along with an even more aggressive tune. I personally think I'll break that 12. But that's just me along with 36 other people right now. lol.

If I can gain about 3/4 more mph in the 1/8th, that will be plenty to put me in the 12's. And I think that is definitely doable.

Yea, I may not make quite as much power, but I went 13.6 to your 14.2, and I did it with one pass. Definitely would have been faster.

also, considering area's recent dyno's and such, you must have been on one happy dyno. and your 14.2@108 is definitely EPIC FAIL. LOL. You couldn't drive for **** could you? Damn. I would have been embarrased to still be a 14sec car with as many mods as you had. I doubt you would DEMOLISH me with your redline also. I've already beat up on a 2.6 pullied car in omaha, probably wouldn't be too hard to beat you as well. 14sec trapping 108, LOL.

I have to say, you've really impressed me with the last few posts you've made. I'm gonna change my tune about you. Sorry for calling you a troll. It's still too bad you drive a mustang. LOL.

yea, I'm already a mid 13sec car.

I'm gonna test it out at the local 1/8th mile first before I go to KCIR with it. If it works, great, if it don't, then I'll just launch really high.

read the first post. I made this thread cause I'm deployed and kind of bored and just wanted to get everyone's CLEAN opinion. I'll hit the track when I get back in October.

SO me, in alberta canada, who puts down 294 whp on a dynojet AND 267 whp on a MUSTANG dyno, who had similar #'s as someone in new jersey with the same mods had a happy dyno? all 3 of them? LAWL

Also, the reason i ran a 14.2 as i stated it was my FIRST EVER PASS AT THE TRACK IN ANY CAR u **** stain, AND i didnt want to break an axle or anything, the wheel hop was insane. But think that you want. If you want a tuner video, or a street show, they all talk about trap speed, its the true test of the CAR, not the DRIVER.

And omg, your saying your a better driver then me on the internet LOL... im so hurt. I guess you learnt alot in your 163 horse power mivec beast hey?

Stop being a homo, and get some power mods, your not proving anything to the world.

Lastly, if your method was so solid, dont you think other people would have used it before you? Almost any shop ive been too, power mods are always done. Not to mention, alot of fast cares are easy mods for max power.

Lastly, the fastest pass on a cobalt is what...109? oh and it was at 12.8, but yeah, your car is faster.... RIGHT

you need to chill out. I've driven and owned alot more powerful cars than my wife's 163hp lancer ralliart. And I can gaurantee that I demolish that 12.8 crap with a lot lower trap speed than 109.

What are you contributing to the forum?

And stop being a homo and getsome power mods, lol, I can only imagine what my car will run with a properly sized pulley for my style of driving. I'm going with a 2.9" pulley eventually. But like I already stated, I'm going to go as fast as I can on stock pulley first. SO why don't you just chill out for now, watch, and learn.

2.009 right now, the car just squats too hard right now. I'm picking up some drag bags to stop that.

drag bags should be worth 1-2 tenths in the 60' which is good for 2-4 tenths in the 1/4 that would get you very very close to 12's with just that

yea, I imagine that I should be able to cut a high 1.8 60ft. as hard as I launch and with a trap speed of 102-104 I should be 12's.

drag bags isnt gonna take tenths your 60ft heh.
it helps, but not that much.

if all else fails rally, i give you props for trying to wring everything out of each setup before moving to more power. I try to follow that idea too, it gets VERY frustrating sometimes.....
but it makes getting that goal much sweeter

thanks man. It is hard, it would be so easy for me to just throw a pulley on. But it wouldn't be right in the sense that I haven't really sought after the best time that car has in it. Right now, I can't get below a 8.7 in the 1/8th. I can tell you now that it would definitely be lower than a 13.6.

I can't wait to see what happens.

best modification you could do would be ditching the Laminova intercooler and fab up a tube/fin or Bar/Plate style intercooler with much less delta P

I don't have the time or money for that. I'm also trying to show people how to make power easy.

as for the drive shafts, mine aren't abused by any means and I don't think they are at risk.
