05 cobalt ecu question

Ok.. I have an 05 cobalt which originally had a 7x reluctor wheel on it and I swapped an 09 bottom end in it which I later found has the 58x reluctor wheel... I know the FULL 09 motor is a VVT motor but since I now have my original NON VVT head on it and since 07-08 are non VVT engine sand have the 58x reluctor wheel, can I use an 07-09 non VVT ecu in my car to read the 58x wheel or if not can I have it flashed from a dealer to work??? Thanks in advance!
