I have a 06 supercharged ss cobalt with the 5 speed shifter. the stop guide that slides over the shifter shaft and allows shifter shaft to move each direction in a controlled distance is broken, the only replacement from gm is for a 07, and its different. I found a complete 2009 5 speed shifter assembly from a 2009 cobalt, seller is not sure if its a from a turbocharged or supercharged version.
so my question is would this shifter assembly from a 09 ss (possibly tc or sc) be compatible to swap out with my 2006 supercharged version shifter assembly?
