6-speed Transmission

I hear that there is a 6-speed transmission swap; it comes from the Saab 93 model and the modifications you have to make to make it fit is re-weld the mounts, and it is said that the tranny will hook right up. I'm wondering if anyone has explored or done this yet.

I've actually found that the dealership is pretty reliable on information like this, or check how the 2.2,2.0 S/C, and the 2.4 bolt on to the tranny and see if the housing is similar to that of the saab 6 speed tranny.

I'll look into this more.

i dont see why it wouldnt bolt up to the engine. the 6 speed in the saab is used on the 2.0 turbo right??? and the 2.0 is an lsj just turbo'd not supercharger. the only thing i could think of is if it would bolt up is you would probaly have to get a custom driver side axle depending if the length of the 6 speed is longer, shorter or the same as the 5 speed.
