Is the ACT Clutch any good? Im at 78k and my clutch is slipping under WOT. If I press into it at all it starts to smell like clutch afterwards.

Also i was looking at the zzp stage 2..

Thoughts?

I would get the GM upgraded clutch for sure. They have it at crate engine depot.

 

How much power you making?

GM clutch will let go also after so much torque

ACT clutches are known to be one or even the best

 

Pretty sure ACT is much more expensive.... as I recall, you have to get their flywheel.

 

Currently I am around 235ish.. I have'nt put my zzp stage 3; 2.7" pulley, tune, meth, etc, and all that on Bc I knew my clutch was weak when I bought it.. I've seen members whith those mods dyno 280-290whp.

That's what I've read about the ACT's and the flywheel. I'm torn tho because zzp only sells the organic material disk, not cevlar..

 

If it was me i would get an ACT

I would have one for my car if they were available

Bully are also pretty good and they make them for your car but not the SS/TC

Bully will make you whatever combo you wish, if you are interested i know a guy that sells them

 

what price range are the bully clutches in? also i was looking on the site some more.. What do you think about a SPEC Stage 2+? looks good, says little to no chatter...

Are you running one? Im worried about whatever I do get slipping when it get hot like mine is.. I've been reading nothing but good things about this.. Is the flywheel a lightweight one?
