Am i screwed?
Ordered the stage 3 clutch masters off of zzp, installed it on the car and couldn't get the transmission to get back on to the engine.
After a frustrating few hours trying to get the stupid ass thing to line up, i goggled the part number on the box and it doesn't fit the LSJ.......
I didnt see anywhere on zzp site where it says its only for 2008 and up, do you think they will work with me?
If not i will have a stage 3 clutch for a LNF for sale, lol.

i emailed them...
Everything fits except the hole on the middle of the clutch disc is smaller or has a different amount of splines on it and it wouldn't take the transmission shaft.
Literally spent 3-4 hours trying to remount the transmission to no avail, just a lot of stress and curse words.

1st rule of doing a clutch job: test fit the clutch disc on the splines of the input shaft before assembling the clutch.
the clutch in the lsj and lnf are interchangeable. in fact, the input shafts on most gm fwd transaxles are the same 14 spline pattern that they have been back to the early 80s, and that includes the f35 and f23.

just went out in the garage after reading your post and i read several others that stated the same thing.
i got the clutch disc to go on the transmission shaft but it seem to only go on at a certain tooth, i have to rotate it several times until it went on, maybe explains why the hell i could get the damn thing to go in.....
well i guess im going to give it some more tries, thanks sharkey.

Have had this problem before.
Grease the shaft a little.
Also, put the disc on the shaft by itself. If it fits but is stuck, put a large socket over it and hit it on with a hammer. That will clean up the splines lol.

Its highly recommended to use that alignment tool. Also cut a bic pen into 3rds and put shove the pieces into the holes on the outer rim if the flywheel before bolting it down for further balance. Just dont forget to pull them out
Clutch will fit.
