Sorry to dig up an old thread, I lurked through it and didn't find my answer.

When using it in Stage 1 or 2 do you put it in D or I?

D/I are still going to do the same things they did before. You can use either one, as before. The Shift+ is still going to increase the firmness of the shift in either D or I.

Alright so what exactly will this do for me? I have 2005 2.2L auto sedan. Does getting this make like shifting an auto from 1-2-D make it quicker or something. Im so ******* confused.

Instead of "soft" shifts, your tranny will shift more firm, with this kit.

So my question was not answered. Does this help more when making an auto seem like a manual by starting in 1 and going to 2 then D or is it better to just stay in D?

It's best with the shift + to stay in D. It just firms up the shifts, makes them harder instead of the smooth buttery shifts the trans makes. I've never ran my shift+ when shifting from 1-2 manually, seems like overkill to me and I'm scared it might hurt the trans like that (don't know if it does). I usually run the shift+ in stage 1 all the time now, since it does make the car feel more "sporty" than it did stock.

What I have read they are worth it. Cost like 37-44$ and no you will not need a tune.

Just read this forum lol.
Everyone says its very easy to instal. Splice 2 wires. Run through firewall next to gas pedal and mount the switch and your good. You can get one at like turbotechracing or other places just look around online.

Very simple install. Just splice two wires, and that's it. You don't need a tune after. It's worth it, if you get it for cheap. After awhile it just became a novelty for me, yes I still use it, but it lost it's awesomeness after awhile.

everything loses it's "awesomeness" after a while. I thought I was pimp when I got my interior neons, until I realized that the only way people could see them was if they were in the car. lol. Same with the rims.

ordering mine tonight
