axle going bad at 30K???

anybody have a problem with the passenger side axle going bad too early in its life? ive been noticing a clunking noise when turning the wheel full lock and would only clunk with a full wheel rotation. i checked everything out before and notice the inner passenger cv joint seemed a bit loose but not bad. checked it again and found it seemed too loose. so i found the clunk.

now next part, do you think the dealer will warranty this? i have a feeling they will deny me saying lowering it caused the problem which is full of **** since i have had it lowered since it had 8K miles on it and after lowering it, axles look set at a better angle. also have a feeling they will say i was racing it.

The only way to know if they will warranty it is to go and ask them. The worst they can do is say no...

i snapped mine at the drags not to long ago with less than 15k on it but i half expected it. i picked up a cardone axle for less than a 100 bucks.. the dealer wanted 200 just for the part so if you can install it yourself then it shouldn't cost to much...

they will look for signs of abuse. any sign of abuse, and they most likely won't fix it. sounds harsh, but age, and the way you present yourself will also be a big factor. i took my car in with a destroyed cv joint, got it fixed no questions asked. but i'm not a punk little kid that went in with an attitude thinking i know everything and demanding they fix things. it legitimately wasn't my fault that it broke, and it showed, so they fixed it.
