clutch and clutch disk help

I drive a 05 cobalt ss and recently second gear started to grind so i took it to the dealership. They called me 3 days later and said a few things inside my transmission was bad which no biggy its covered under warranty but they said my clutch was slipping in every gear. Before i took it in it was kinda slipping but i just thought it had to do something with the trans. But anyways to get to the point they said they couldnt put the same clutch back in there after they fix the trans so i said dont do it because they are gonna charge me $827. So i asked my uncle and he said all i need to fix my clutch is a clutch disk. Can anyone back that up and anyone know where i can find one cheap?

might as well just get a whole new kit all together you can pick up a stocker at a dealership or the exedy oem kit which those are relatively cheap. you will also need a throwout bearing as well, and a flywheel is reccomended i beleive. i just did mine so i had to go through what your about to

I have a brand new Spec Stage 2+ clutch and brand new flywheel for an ss/sc for sale. I'd like to get 650 shipped for both, and the clutch has been known to hold up great to abuse. Let me know if you're interested.

I know a friend that is trying to sell a Spec stage 2+ for the F23 trans. It's never been installed. Send me a PM if you are interested and I'll hook you up.

Most likely, unless there is another problem. Also, I'd replace the flywheel. You'll free up some power, and you'll be that far into it anyways. If you don't replace the flywheel, at least machine the one you have.

Btw, the throw-out bearing is connected to the slave cylinder. It's all one part, so expect it to run you over $100, easily.
