It sounds like a fun project. Keep us updated! Would like to see the two clutches side by side.

Except for a K&N typhoon intake........stock.....as it stands now....according to the dealership it can handle up to 300 hp...didn't list torque capacity...I'm getting the other stuff done before I add any power......and plus my clutch is slipping....after the clutch is done.....next is exhaust.....

since torq is usually higher than HP I would assume even a GMPP stage 3 could use that clutch.

Well its finally done.....I had a CEL......the vacum line that runs from the throttle body to the brake booster had a kink in it.....But other than that....I have to say IMO.....the upgrade is good.....takes a lil getting used to the pedal.....but other than that....I look forward to putting it thru some paces.....Thanks all

Not Work Safe

well counting the 3 parts I had to order due to a coworker bending the acutator elbow....about 5 days.....but without that....easialy 2 days....I can safly say it can be done in one.....but I was doing the swap at work...and only had one day off that week...and it went to installing the clutch and trying to get the elbow to work....it didn't hence I had to order the parts....the longest parts were moving the PCM....fuse box under the hood....removing the starter to get at a tranny bolt(putting the top bolt for the starter back in is no damn joke ) and then putting everything back together(all the stuff I had to move or remove) so I suggest if anyone does it...have a friend....cause it can get a lil frustrating...lol....but I love it....been driving only to and from work...maybe a lil longer route....but tonight I'm heading to L.A. (youngest son is having his b-day party sat...turning one)and of course I gotta show off the car.....

You can remove the bellhousing bolt thats behind the starter without taking the starter off. Ratchet, 1 foot extension, swivel, 6" extension, socket or swivel socket. You can also work around the fuse box and pump. Did you get your flywheel resurfaced?

I had one installed for $350. They cut the old flywheel, and most likely re-used the bolts. lol
