F23 Transmission Shifting

Hey guys when I am shifting high rpms (7k+) getting into 3rd is a real pita. The trans shifts notchy and slow at those rpms. I really have to push it hard as hell to get into gear at the high rpm range. Is that normal for everyone else? If I shift at around 5k rpms it goes into gear as fast as I can throw it. I recently changed my trans fluid with Royal Purple and that made overall shifting smoother, but I didn't notice anything at 7k. Other fluids to try? I am going to get the TWM short throw in a few weeks. Will that help at all? Thanks.

F23s dont like to shift over 7k. Hahn always had problems with it and I have problems with it on my cavalier. You have to wait for the rpms to drop a little more then try and shift. Sounds like a pita but play around with it and it can be done. I still trust a f23 over my f35...

Yeah thats the problem My buddy was making fun of me for shifting so damn slow.

Are there upgraded parts/new parts that could aid in faster high rpm shifting? I am building my motor in November and wouldn't mind doing the trans since the car will be down for a week. I had it apart for an LSD install already, but didn't get into the internals. Tools for the F23 are dirt cheap.

I bumped the limiter to 7200 after I installed cams and springs. I hit 7200 a lot. The 2.4l solstice has the limiter at 7200rpm stock, but that trans shifts fast/smooth at those rpms(I just test drove one). My engine has handled it no problem for 10k miles and its boosted. I would like to do 7500rpm, but I need to know the trans is going to be able to operate well at that range.

I've never been that high but I don't have a problem at 6500. Where do you empty and fill these transmissions btw? I need to do that soon.
