Well idk about this summer. But yes the price will be very reasonable to people who know what these upgrades normally run. For others it's just going to be a large chunk of money they won't spend when the time finally comes.

My trans was shipped out this week and John told me they will be doing the installs of the gear sets initially. I'm not sure how long that will continue, it will most likely be up to the customer, but this all depends on how many people buy.

I'm getting exited about this are you?!?

Tell them to take their time building this thing up, we don't need them to rush a product only to get bad feed backs. So take all the time they need.

Yeah i am interested as well since zzp is not ready with their trans yet.

Just picked up a new 0k non lsd trans for 750 shipped. I felt it was a bad idea to get LSD and blow it up 30k later due to lack of tougher internals.

Waiting for zzp to be ready with theirs and interested in hearing about Shep since i have been following his DSM and new evo for a long time.

Keep us posted and what going on with this.

He would have to pay a good chunk of cash to become a Vendor... I wouldn't think that'd be something on the top of his list just yet.

And him being here yet wouldn't really help us yet, either, if he hasn't even torn apart a trans. I could understand him getting on here if he/they were a few months into R&D. But not before the "project" even starts.

Add me to list. 8 months means xmas presents in the form of gears. And winter is always a good time to put it up on blocks for new turbos....

It always helps to have the designers input. Whether it be just a small amount of information or just a few thoughts. But yes when the project starts it will be more important.

hah it makes perfect sense! so as of right now if/when this came out, we'd have to send our tranny out? or would there be some sort of core exchange on it. I want to minimalize down time

It would be cool to see some Shep built Cobalt stuff, I obviously don't need one however.

Why don't you guys just swap to the Getrag F23 like the base models?

They have been holding 550-600whp for years without a hiccup, just a though, although I can see the appeal for the a plug and play solution.

Price seems very reasonable from the other thread at around $950.

There is a decent amount of modification needed to use the F23... and because they're shorter gears, which I do not want.
