genuine saab short shifter adaptor.
you cut the ball off the bottom of the stock shifter, and then slip the genuine saab short shifter on the end and tighten up the set screws on it, then reattach the cables and your set
Well I got my shifter adapter and the bushings and took my shifter apart only to find...
That the previous owner had already installed them both, so I cannot comment on the difference because I have been driving with both mods since I bought it 2 years ago. But it's not terribly difficult to install but getting the shifter knob off is a bit of a bitch.

I have this mod. Seems to work well enough
Price was reasonable and improved the shift enough that I am happy with it. Probably not going to be enough of an improvement if you want to lower shift times at the track though. Just my 2 cents.
Took me about 1 hour because I spent so much time messing with the shift knob. Didn't need to take it off after all.
For the price I would say it is worth it.
