Getting into 1st gear

This really isn't a *problem*, but I find from time to time....after sitting at a stop light, I have a hell of a time getting into 1st! (I ususally let it sit in Neutral, if I'm gonna *sit* for a while). I try to shift into second then back to 1st, but it takes several attempts to get it to go in. As I said, only happens once in a while, but it's frustrating and people behind me go WTF!!! Any thoughts?

If I have trouble I slide in to second then first it seems to help.

I have always thought my gears felt weird... like sometimes won't go in all the way, stuff like that... I just thought i'd wait to see if when I got Short shifter maybe something would change.

The GenuineSaab or TWM metal shifter bushings help.

A buddy and I both installed some a while back and it not only improved the shift feel but reduced this problem to where it almost never happens.
