Here we go again TOB went

Damn TOB **** itself last night. Drove home 35 miles with no clutch pedal and no problems. Parked and threw a big piece of cardboard under the car. All the brake fluid is now on the cardboard. Only 3000 mile on it. Interested to see where it failed. I put a new pipe in at the time it was installed.:cus sing:

Sounds like mine. My tob was making noises within a thousand miles of putting everything new in.

what clutch/pressure plate do you have? I've heard really heavy pressure plates can decrease tob life alot

Do you have a zzp clutch rod? Could lead to some of the issue if its making the throw to long.

ran a spec stage 3+ for over 25k without failure witht rack mileage and my current one on a stock clutch with 42k and 2 years of tracking and just not the clutch is starting to slip but the throwout bearings still holding and i beat the crap out of my car....

do u have an adjustable clutch rod or in the carpet worn by the clutch pedal because these cars use the carpet as a stop but over time it wears and causes the clutch pedal to over extend which could cause isues to the tod and the clutch slave. so i fabricated a stop for my car.

Was it making a squealing sound when you were letting the clutch out to go forward before it went completely?

YUP! Mine just blew out on me last Friday about an hour from my house after only 6k miles on it. Went to down shift for an upcoming light, clutch pedal went to the floor and never came back up.. .. Ripped it all apart this past weekend and just as suspected, the tob was toast. Not a happy camper. The only redeeming part of the whole thing was that having the subframe and trans out gave me a whole bunch of room to install my new turbo..
