Well when I bout mine it did not give me a choice so for my sake I hope they are all gunmetal for now because that is what I want. I am sure in the future they will give a choice do to all the guys that seem to want the polished shifter.

ya hold the shifter use a long screwdriver and pry down evenly by the connector. Keep pressure even and not sharp....

BTW...

Aaron from Turbo Tech told me that they don't have them in stock yet but if you place the order through them they will put your order in and it will get shipped straight to you from hurst.

dont just push it all the way right to go into 5th, just follow the normal flow from 2-3 and 4-5

I contacted the Hurst Manager of development about the lockout, he is supposed to get back to me on it.

not worried myself, it is a nice shifter and as long as you dont go all the way right there is no chance of going into R by accident

no hang ups here! Mine couldnt be smoother! Matter of fact it got easier to shift thanks to the shifter weighting

so you can only put it in reverse by pulling up on the lockout? See if you can go into reverse without lifting it.

So my shifter is coming today, should I put it in or give Hurst a call and see if they have any fixes coming out? Has anyone heard anything from Hurst?

Well the shifter just has a little edge that sticks out and the shifter mount has another edge so the shifter just barely won't clear unless you pull it up, I can see how over several months of driving the ledge could be worn down enough for the shifter to clear without pulling it up.
