HURST SHIFTER Reverse lockout fix

Reverse lockout fix --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adjustment for Reverse Lock-Out (if required)
If shifter engages “reverse” without pulling up on the “lock-out” collar, adjust the shifter cable as follows: A) Place shifter in “neutral”. B) Mark the position of the left side cable where it enters the connector. C) Carefully pry the clip (usually white) out at the bottom to release from the connector and pull up. D) Move the shifter slightly to the right so that the connector is positioned approximately 3/8” further back on the cable from the marked position. E) Push the clip down to lock the cable into the connector. Check to be sure that shifter will not engage reverse unless “lock-out” collar is pulled up. Repeat this procedure if further adjustment is necessary.
