Then again I'm still using the stock 18rims and tires....60ft times were a eyesore 2.6-2.7's. I got a 2.4 once, but the track prep sucked. I need to get a set of rims/slicks to do anything with the power. The stock tires just light up and spin...spin...spin.....

Looks like I have to get the control arm bushings to compliment the engine dampner. I would say.. the dampner took care of 90% of the wheel hop on the hardest setting. On the street, I don't have any wheel hop, but at the track my first few passes had some.

The shifting is great with the mount.

Anymore "thuds" going from 1st to 2nd?

Nope.... that part was gone at least on my car. I had wheel spin on the shift but no wheel hop.

No more thuds in mine either . The car just feels so much better shifting . I cant wait to combine it with the clutch/flywheel Im doing this weekend , and a trans mount and control arm bushings . The last 2 have to wait a bit for funds

i put on the mount initially it worked great at the stock 14mm setting, made the whole car feel stiffer, but got a little wheel hop when it got wet out. So i just tightened it to 11-12MM and now i can smoke the tires in first gear, just by gassing it. It didnt hop at all and i wasnt using the ebrake. It was bad ass, cant wait for the track.

Try these too. More stiffness/adjustability.

they do have the same mount but there is clearance issues with the air intake..if you havean aftermarket one it could work..

Just got the Dampner installed (Thanks Aaron - TTR and Rob - Ingalls ) and all I can say is "HOLY ****"!!! It doesn't cure wheel hop but I never expected it to, it just controls the amount of movement as the car gets violent, much less drama now. The car feels alot more solid and tighter, hitting the throttle out of a turn completely tames torque steer. All in all, an awesome product and worth every cent!!! I had polyurethane mounts before and with this dampner you get the benefits of a poly mount with out the nasty vibes and adjustibility to boot. What are waiting for, go get one!!!

I tightened the plunger all the way to tightest and backed it off 1/8 turn so that the edges on the bolts are even. it is almost at the tightest setting now I guess. I can'y really see how they measure 10-14 mm's on this thing.

I have mine at like 12.5mm, and all I get is smokey burnouts. No wheel hop here so far. Well...I guess I'l really find out when i get my new clutch. Did anyone else notice the vibration only during left hand turns? That is the only time I ever get any vibrations. Does that sound weird to you guys?

does the whole torque brace come in like 2 or 3 pieces when you get it? cause if you have to do the 2 bolts on the engine and the 2 on the chasis seperatley then i dont get how you could squeeze the wrench in there to take out the opposite 2 when you have the first 2 already on. if anyone has installed this or has any clue what im saying let me know what you think/know.

^^^ Your post was sort of confusing.

First you install the brackets. The one closet to the engine requires you to remove the two outer bolts, and place the bracket on like the picture above. The one that mounts to the chasis is only two nuts. Take both of them out with a deep well socket, place the bracket on so that you can see one rib run along with the bracket cutout. Then tighten the 2nd brackets nuts. Then take the torque damper and place the o-ring along the bracket side of each end, so that the swivel points on the torque damper have some cushioning againt the bracket. DO NOT put the washers in there at all, as they are not supposed to be in the kit. Place bolts and nuts on there at each end and tighten. Adjust the distance for stiffness if necessary like I posted above, and have fun smoking the tires instead of wheel hopping.

The post about covers how to do the install.

just remember
1. DO NOT do any length or damper adjustment with it still installed on the car..
2. DO NOT use the metal washers that come in the kit
3. email if you have any ?'s
4. ENJOY!

Don't adjust while it's in the car? Oops. If I did it once, would it have wrecked my damper? I hope not, or I'm already screwed.

First of all, forgive me for seeming clueless, but there is only one brace, right? And from the pics it looks like it sits on top of a bracket that mounts to the engine mount on the passenger side near the crank? I'm really interested in it, but I just want to have all my info so that *I* understand it. I know it's all been hashed and re-hashed here, I'm just still not totally clear on what all is included and whether or not there's something the pics aren't showing. Thanks guys!
