need clutch help please

Ok well I was driving today and noticed that when I go to take off at a green light that my clutch slips a bit. When my left foot is just about to leave the pedal while im giving it gas, I can feel a slight studder. And it feels like the clutch pedal is all the way out before engaging.

Well I have the extended warranty and they said I had a year warranty on my clutch(which Im at only 9 months old) and Im at 9400 miles. Will the dealership tell me to get lost? Whats everyones opinions on this.

P.s. Whats th best aftermarket clutch if i need a new one?

bump, i need help

Alright, now I don't have a SS S/C so take what I have to say with a grain of salt or whatever. You have been around longer than I have but, it doesn't sound like the "glazing" that most SS S/C cobalts are having. I'm pretty sure if you take it to the dealership that they will have a look at it, depending on what they find they will either replace it or adjust the engage point on your clutch. From what you are telling us it sounds like it only happens when your wheels are stopped, which with the amount of mods you have done to the engine might just be because its adjusted to where it isnt completely engaged and so the amount of TQ that you are trying to put on it is causing it to slip.

Wow that was long, but like I said I have ZERO expierence with the SS S/C cause I own a 2.2L. Good luck with the dealership!

with yer mods you shouldnt be slipping, my clutch slips very very rarley but for the most part holds up pretty well and i have about 260 ponies under my belt with a huge exhaust leak, take it in to the dealer and see what they say, as far as aftermarket id go bully or exedy, it seems like everyother aftermarket clutch has issues.
