Question not smooth going into gear

ok so about a year ago i bought the twm sts and weighted knob.. put it in my car all was good. was going to sell it so i took it out and put stock back it. again everything was fine.. this past weekend i put my sts back in because i didnt end up selling it. and now things are acting goofy.... its kinda rough shifting from gear to gear. for example when im getting on it and go from 3rd to 4th i miss almost everytime cuz its not a smooth flow.... its not just 3rd to 4th its all. its not like i messed up my tranny or somthin i know how to drive stick and never had a problem its just since i put the shifter back in.... i greased all the ***** on the shifter i cant figure it out. someone help please

mine does that too. basically, it happens if it's not seated 100% right. just need to pull it back out and kinda play with it and make sure it's torqued down even... but, i'm lazy

The cables being ajusted would do nothing.... my side to side ajustment is perfect... and you don't even need to ajust it. And the front to back one will just effect the position of where the shift is when in gear......

Also that's what I figured that I'd just have to take it out and play with it. Because I know my tranny and grear rnt messed up.... when you say torqued down evenly. Are you talking the 4 bolts for the plastic assembly??
