normal shifting, low rpm shifting for mpg, or wot shifting? If you have a SS and are shifting at almost redline...are you nls'ing? try shifting at just under 6k rpm.

Well it's a '06 SS/Sc.. And I kind of ment like when I'm shifting on High RPM I kind of let it rev for a couple of times and then shift to 2nd gear but I feel like the RPM really goes down and it takes some time for it to get back up. Hope you guys understand what I mean!

That would be you hitting the rev limiter if I'm reading that right which you shouldn't do if you like your car. redline is 6500 rpm, shift at 6

uh no still dont understand. why would you rev it a couple times then shift into 2nd? you are letting your car slow down and rev'ing up to let it bog? dude floor it, shift normal, shift fast. no need for rev'ing unless you are down shifting and rev matching.

oh mike good point, yeah are you bouncing off the rev limiter? shift at 6 unless you are stage 2 or hpt then you have a rev limit up at/near 7k. so you could shift at 6.5 or closer.

don't confuse this person...they're obviously not too familiar with how to drive a manual car. It sounds to me like they're flooring it, hitting the limiter and slow shifting which is causing it to bog. Possibly even a worn clutch that's slipping going into 2nd as well.

OP...until you learn how to drive ur car a little better or get it checked out, I'd calm down on beating up on it or you're going to damage it badly. Just drive normal and shift easy til you get more comfortable with the car because you're obviously new to this.

EDIT: I'm not trying to be a dick, but you'll blow up ur car if ur not careful.

not sure how chirping the tires during a shift will blow car up...maybe snap a axel or a motor mount.
