Q's about clutch change

I am still on my original clutch and at 62k miles it's finally giving up. I want to do a turbo swap in the future but i'm not sure how realistic that goal really is at this point since I keep contemplating on trading it in. The 2 copmpanies I have in mind are either a ZZP stage 2 or 3, or a KY stage 2 or 3. I know KY is a little cheaper but if I go thtrough ZZP I can get everything from one site (clutch, flywheel, throw out bearing and the pipe thing). Besides those obvious things what else woud I need to do the job? I have never done a clutch before but my step dad has a lift and has been a dodge mechanic for like 30 years so next weekend I will be driving up to NY so we can do this.

Another question too, can the clutch going bad put air in the brake lines? It feels like my brakes got kinda spongy over the last 2 weeks or so and my fluid looks like it got darker since the last time I checked.

That should be all the parts you need although with clutch and brake problems it sounds like you could be having issues with the master cylinder. Not saying you definitely are but it's a possibility. The only other thing you will need to do a clutch job is a large variety of sockets and cold beer

I just ordered the KY stage 3 from TTR, $100 cheaper than ZZP's clutch. Getting ready to order the flywheel, throwout bearing, revised bracket and some redline fluid from ZZP. Figured since it will be out I might as well change the fluid and upgrade the bracket. Do I need to change the pipe? I can't find it now that i'm looking.

Just ordered 2 quarts of redline trans fluid, TOB, LNF shifter bracket and the flywheel. Sucks having to spend that much but it's needed.

You can get the clutch pipe on CED. It's only like 12 bucks or something like that

That's up to you to decide. It's worth changing because if it starts leaking or something later you have to pull the trans to change it. For less than 20 bucks most people change it as insurance

Gotta say that ZZP and TTR did really great with my orders. Everything was ordered and at my door in 3 days. Next saturday I will have a happy tranny again!! Just ordered the clutch pipe from CED, $8 but I chose 2 day shipping so it was $28. Just have to make sure I have it before next friday.
