Replacing CV Axles

Is there anything I need to know when replacing my cv axles. Im installing new ones this weekend. Looks as if they just slide right in place. But I am a little curious about what looks like a "C" clip on the input spline.
Let me know guys, so I dont screw things up. Im hoping this will cure my vibration I have been having since my sportline install. Its the only thing left that could be causing it.

You need to unbolt the strut in order to obtain the clearance to remove it. Once that's done, use a large pry bar to simply pop them out of the sockets of the trans.

I have found if you lift both front wheels to an even level it makes them come out easier, also MAKE SURE THE C-CLIP COMES OUT! you have to make sure its still on the axle, if not fish it out. it probably will, but i recently had to do a trans from a c-clip from 6 months ago so 1/20 it happens lol.

Sorry, I don't know off the top of my head. But I assume if you have a simple metric set of allen keys, one of them will work.

Ok thanks guys. Just looked at the How To change your tranny fluid and it says 8mm. Im just hoping this axle change will cure my vibration. I love the car lowered and dont want to raise it back up with the stock springs, but Im not gonna distroy a new set of axles if the vibration dosnt go away. I will then rais it back up.
