Why did the warranty get voided after you picked it up?

If the warranty is even avaliable to you as the second owner, you may be screwed anyways. They'll pull it in and see the case is cracked. This is known issue to GM and they will not warranty it because it's caused by driver abuse, aka wheel hop. So now that they took an hour to look at it, they'll charge you for inspecting the damage. So you'll spend an hour in labor to have them tell you how much you'll have to pay.

And since you bought the car so long ago, it may not even be the previous owners fault. It could easily be your fault. Even one hop can cause it. Or you could hop the car for hours on end and it never breaks.

take it back to them, if its making noise and popping out of gear there is deffinitly an issue, and they cant deny warrenty coverage on a job they just completed.

ALL work preformed by a GM dealer comes with at least a 1 year warrenty on the parts and labor. If its ******* up AFTER they fixed it take it back, they CAN'T deny you the 1 year warrenty. Even if they voided the warrenty on the car you STILL have the 1 year warrenty on the work they just did.
