!!! Shitty Shifter cable install HELP !!!
Rookie Mistakes ahead!!! Don't laugh at me
so i have a '09 SS turbo. I bought it from a kid who really didn't need it and apparently drove it pretty badly. I've had the car for almost 5 months now. At one point, i wasn't even seeing 5 pounds of boost but after putting in more blood, sweat, and money than I could afford, my lil sleeper has come a looooong way. I now regularly hit 27 boost easy peasy.......
That is until i decided that my shifter cables or my shifter knob/stick-thing needed to be adjusted because I felt like my shifts were too long and far apart, it just felt sloppy. I had also began grinding when shifting into 2nd unless i could shift while in the "sweet spot". So of course, I (thought) i did a little adjustment and took her out for a drive. Things were great until turning on to the on ramp, BOOM!!! I lost ALL gears and became stuck in 1st. After slowly making it back to my driveway, i began my inspection.........I somehow managed to bend the black cable (the cable that is located on the passenger side) ********** So i ordered another pair. While waiting on my parts to be delivered, I was doing some research and became convinced that i needed to check and most likely change my roll pin........ ***Double ****! *** Mistake #2
THREE DAYS LATER
i've finally finally got the roll pin out in the new one put in. And I'm never doing that again. My parts have been here for two days but I haven't been able to put them in yet because I was in a loosing battle with this roll pin. So when I try to put them in today I realized that I never marked the old cables when I took them out... *** TRIPLE **** *** so that's an issue, I hear. Now I I have too much slack/play in my shifter cables and I'm not even making it into any of gears. I don't know how to attach them back to the transmission, like how they are placed, which cable goes where, am i missing a bracket some where, could i have ordered the wrong part? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to adjust my shifter handle. How do i know if the tranny is in 4th, I feel like i dont have 2 lockout tabs on mine. (I believe i have an aftermarket Manzo Shifter. It looks identical to the photos) I don't know what to do I'm at a loss and at this point it's been four days and I just want to be able to drive my car.
Me and my boyfriend are both fed up and we just need some advice. I have tried to research as much as possible and have just came up with the same answers that still don't help me. Somebody, please!!!! Tell me what i'm doing wrong! Please provide detailed and clear instructions. I would be forever thankful!
Bonus points for pictures! Any help and advice is super appreciated!!!

Putting the cables on is fairly straight forward.
Do you have them locked into the bracket on the transmission? Do you have them locked into the shifter housing?
The shifter itself doesn't really affect the adjustment or anything else.
