Slack in transmission

When taking off in 1st there feels like there is slack in my transmission before it catches and is sometimes rough. What could this be? Also when I shift it feels as if my tranny jerks like it's loose or something? Can anybody help?

hmmm not sure about LSJ's but my SS/TC felt that way once i got through the breakin period. i think it's somewhat normal for these cars sadly. i wouldn't worry too much unless it gets really bad.. then i'd take it to a garage and have them check things like tranny mounts, engine mounts, linkage etc.

goodluck!

If ya don't feather the clutch just right in 1st you can get *bucking*. Also with my car (tuned), the torque is so massive, I'll spin the tires like a **** if I'm not carefull

The bucking? No, it's just how the gearing in the car is. **** with my car the way it is now it'll even buck a little in second if the RPMs are low enough.
