They always cry "driver error" unless something happens to their car, then it's a case of "The dealer screwed me!"
I've already dealt with people here on that same issue, but the dealer found my clutch (and not my driving) to be faulty and replaced the entire clutch assembly under warranty.
If I had listened to those people, I would have been out $1500.
You said "... i just picked up my 06 cobalt ss 2 hours ago and the clutch is slipping", and that tells me the dealer didn't do the Certified Inspection.
Do yourself a BIG favor fmxr47, disregard what others say and respectfully give the dealer heck to have them fix your clutch.

ok first off I was just asking questions, never said it was his fault off the bat. But they are relevent and will probably be asked by the dealer when he brings it in. I've seen people whipe out the clutches on these cars brand new the first day they've had it (seen 3 locally blow their clutches in he 1st day or 2)

#1 I wasn't specifically referring to you
#2 Your example of "blown clutches" doesn't fit the scenario that fmxr47 is talking about here
thanks

ok, i got the car back the same day and they claimed that their was a bunch of air in the slave cylinder and the lines, so they blead the system and gave it to one of the techs for a test drive who has a cobalt ss, he said it felt just like his now, so i drove it and it does catch better but it still slips a slight bit, but it is way better than before, i think i am going to get a stage 1 or 2 clutch soon, then the stage 1&2 kit for power!!!

That'll tell you how good/bad the clutch is.
Glad they did something for 'ya anyway.

ok, so i figured it out and i am just a retard, my dad who has driven clutch his whole life could not get the car to slip, so what it was is that i was letting the clutch just about completely out but still had my foot on the pedal a little and i was giving it gas a hair too soon, but it feels weird cause when you shift to second gear the car lags unless im pinning it in first, but only noticable under moderate acceleration, if i am going wot there is no problem, but either way i got some work done for free any ways
