serious note. How hard we talking here? Might just be the shift cable, I know when im at a higher rpm or load my stocker is harder / more resistant to shift, i was under the assumption from reading that its just the crappy linkage. you don't have a sts do you?

i would guess its just that? Don't adjust it to much, otherwise youll lose compression in a cylinder.

ya the oil creates to much pressure in the shifter cuz it heats up. So it gets dumped out the bov for two reasons. One to relieve the stress on the shifter so you can bang thro the gears better, and two, since the motor is running hotter it dumps the oil out on top to help cool it off. Just like how we sweat. Its a pretty neat design by GM actually, surprised more companies dont do it. OP, once nick gets the amount squirted out corrected, youll be golden

Lol guys, well I have adjusted it so there is no extra "space" in 5th gear and it worked fine for me.. and if it was the cable, why does it shift fine during low rpms and normal driving ya know? Nick when I got it back from ya I had the 5th gear space so essentially I thought that's what it was, but I changed the clip placement to where there is no space lol
